About Puddles and how to use it
Puddles is a club management tool, built to bring session sign-ups, crew management, and captain admin into one place. It's constantly being developed to be as good as possible for next year.
Replay the guided tour of the main navigation.
Go to the Availability page and tap the time slots directly, or use "Enter availability" if available on your device. Your captain relies on this to build the week's boating, so try to fill it out as early as possible.
If you're boated for a session but can no longer make it, find the session and tap the X next to your name. You can remove yourself up until 24 hours before the session starts - after that, you'll need to speak to a captain to withdraw.
Head to the Training page and click "Log a session" to log an erg, water session, or cross-training activity. This feeds into your personal logbook and the club's training mileage.
The same way as rowers — on the Availability page. If you're a cox but would prefer to row sometimes, you can note that in your preferences there too.
Open the Availability page and switch to the Overview tab. It gives you a colour-coded heatmap of your squad's availability for any day, which you can use alongside the Plan week tab when scheduling.
Look for the "Assign crew" button on a set-crew session. This opens a panel showing all rowers, filterable by squad and side, with availability and preferences visible. Tap to add someone, then drag to reorder seats.
Sessions stay in Draft mode (visible only to you and coaches) while you build the week in the Plan week tab. Once you're happy with the lineups, publish individual sessions or use "Publish week" to publish everything at once. This makes the outings visible on the Sessions page so members can sign up.
Green means free, red means unavailable, another colour means already rowing, coxing, or coaching, and grey means the athlete hasn't submitted their availability yet.
Open the Roster tab. Pending sign-ups needing approval appear at the top. From the main roster list you can assign members to squads and manage their permissions.
Go to Settings and find the Branding section, where you can upload a new club crest and update your primary and accent colours.
To report bugs or suggest features, speak to your captain, or email direct via hello@puddlesrowing.app.
Emails from Puddles may go to spam initially. Add noreply@puddlesrowing.app to your safe sender list to make sure you don't miss outing confirmations.
